Hiking in our mountains
The Vosges offer us a thousand wonders to discover, mixing calm and nature, enchanted forests, secret paths, corners of paradise in which to stroll... The 4-star Haut Jardin Hôtel & Spa offers you a non-exhaustive list of places to visit to discover or rediscover our region on foot from our village.
Le Trou de l'Enfer :
Located 4 km southeast of Réhaupal and 3 km northeast of Tholy in the Barba valley.
An unusual site, wild and picturesque, filtered by nature, and where enormous granite boulders lie.
Legend has it that a violinist wandering in the area came across a great man on his way asking him to host the ball he was organizing in his castle. The next day, arriving at the same place, a castle of flame surprised the violinist and when he crossed the threshold of the building a flash frightened him. He understood that he had just entered the Devil's enclosure, made the signs of the cross and the castle ended up collapsing.
This is why the villagers called this place the “Hell Hole”.
About 2 hours of walking.

The Tendon Waterfalls:
Idyllic place to come and recharge your batteries, sheltered from nature. By walking a few paths accessible even to children, the "small" waterfall will offer you an interesting appetizer and the "large" waterfall (the longest waterfall in the Vosges), for its part, will be the stars.
Located between Tendon and Tholy, the Tendon Waterfalls are a mythical place in summer and become sacred under their ice crystals in winter.
Approximately 2h50 hours of walking.
